Apr. 3rd, 2004 06:48 pmFandoms that scared you away before you could join: Harry Potter. Love the books, have enjoyed some of the fanfiction, am batfucking scared of all the flame wars and BNF kerfluffles and sheer wank. (This doesn't mean I don't enjoy mocking the wank on f_w, of course.)
Fandoms you were scared away from after being in a few days: You know, I don't know if there is one. I don't scare easily. I suppose Hellsing is the closest thing--I was in the community for it here on lj and it was inane enough that I backed out after a while.
Fandoms you ran away from screaming after being in a while: Oh, I know! Comics fandom. This is not a slight to any members of it I know or have on my flist, but I kind of peeked in on that fandom and it just seemed really close-knit and very insular and interconnected--either you were very much in it or not at all. All the backbiting and sniping just made me shake my head and move on.
Fandom that you go back to like an abused woman to a trailer trash boyfriend: Buffy/AtS.
Fandoms you had five minutes of fame in: Sailor Moon. I wrote and posted a fic or two, and there was squeeing until the next cutesy-wootsy fic was posted.
Fandoms you spend too much time in: Trigun. -_-; I love it, but I need to learn when to stop shaking people by the head and screaming "OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!"
Fandoms you hate but love theshow source material: Final Fantasy VIII. Inuyasha comes in second.
Fandoms you love but hate the show: This is...illogical. That said, I think the LotR fandom is full of fun, snarky people who I like, though I don't read much fic myself.
Fandoms you love the best: Trigun, always and forever. X-Files for being my first, teaching me much of fandom politics, introducing me to great people, and overall being pretty good to me.
Fandoms I read fic in but will never write: Slayers. Cowboy Bebop--well, I'd like to produce some fic, but we'll see.
