Early last weekend, a bunch of authors on my Sailor Moon list posted a link to the "Pissed Off Fanfiction Writers Society" in which they detailed their plan to strike until people started posting more feedback. It was a pretty funny site, but they were serious about not posting. That pissed me (and many others) off. So I posted this and needless to say it got attention. I got some of what can only be described as fan mail and I also got called a flamer. (This when another lister had called them all pathetic losers. Incredible. But then, I'm the lurker, =easy target.) Really, the rant says it all, but this kind of thing makes me sick. Feedback is a gift and it is MY DECISION whether to give it or not. So get over it already. Pfft.
Holy SHITE
Feb. 5th, 2001 11:33 pmTEXAS - Perhaps he's devised some nifty future campaign slogan like
"Re-Elect Ron Wilson ... He's as Cool as Pokémon!" or some WWF-like
tagline of "Ron Wilson will layeth the smacketh down uponeth criminals!"
How else can you explain State Representative Ron Wilson's (D-TX) bizarre
proposed bill to lower the state's voting age to 14.
"I've got children, and I'm telling you they're smart enough to vote,"
Wilson told the Dallas Morning News. "We're not talking rocket science
here," Wilson explained, seemingly implying that voters aren't that
bright.
