PROBLEM: I keep hearing scrabbling-type noises under my bed.

COMPLICATION: There is never any sign of a mouse or anything. No droppings, no holes I've seen, and why would it insist on under my BED instead of the OPEN ground-level cabinet across the floor where food can be found?

CONCLUSION: Someone is plotting to steal my sanity. Well, HA! The joke's on them! I don't have any left!

Are you sure it's not underneath the floor or inside the bottom of the wall behind your bed?

Consensus seems to be the wall, or possibly it was on this plastic thing right outside my window, though I thought the wall was thicker and blocked sound better than that. I don't think the floor--I'm on the bottom floor of a house built into the side of a hill, and I've got a tiled floor that seems to be built right into cement.

In my upstairs room, I'd hear scrabbling in the walls. Which was either invisible squirrels or mice. I did have mice in the stupid chest of drawers they built into the wall upstairs; I found out when I was supremely confused by their droppings.

Also, randomly, something slams into something somewhere upstairs. It is becoming terrifying.

So I totally feel you.

Happily, I didn't hear anything last night. Unhappily, that didn't keep me from being alert and awake for any noise.

Random slams sound freaky. I kinda have the same thing, but it's on the window. Maybe bats are flying into it or something. But it's outside for sure, so I don't mind it. Just a bit startling.
