Can we agree to a moratorium on "I like slash as much as the next person, but why do people slash THIS pairing? It doesn't make sense because they seem so straight/there's an age difference/they have canon interests....etc" posts?

Wishful thinking, I know. And sometimes I even agree with the poster. But really--this kind of thing is getting so boring and most slash is based on subtext, which is more than a little bendy depending on who's interpreting it. So why bother?

I should've defriended long ago but
a) interesting things do come along
b) very occasionally I like to post myself
c) I'm already a member so I can comment on the wanky bits instead of watching from f_w
d) I've been there so lng I feel kind of loyal
e) Idiot Girl is there now and even though she'd have nothing to do with me leaving it, I have that whole "I'm not letting her run me off" idea now. XD Which is funny, considering I usually forget she's even there and get a jolt when she's suddenly on my flist.

That's how I stay updated on the good stuff, too! Otherwise, it was clogging up my flist with "I hate ______(insert pairing/Mary Sue gripe here)!" and it was repetitive and not interesting. Bah.

Imagine modding that community. I have to monitor it no matter how much I'd like to remove it.

I've pondered deleting it a couple of times, but like soddam and gomorrah, there's a few people trying to convince me there's enough 'good posts' to keep it up.

But if I do delete it, don't look back, I take no responsibility for any pillars of salt on lj.
