My mom says that while donating blood is always good, us being here isn't going to help the people in other states that need it now.

well, they're asking people here in canada to donate.

so, i'm guessing that if you're in another state, it's probably a good idea to do so. they can always ship it in on a refrigerated truck or something...

National Shortage

There is a national shortage of blood supplies, and even here in FL we are being encouraged to go donate. If it comes down to transporting it, I'm sure every donation will count.
