I do that _all_ the time.

Like, "Hmm, a huge bag of M&Ms!" Then: "Oh god, I'm gonna throw-- hey! there's some more M&Ms!"
"Oh, I re--ally shouldn't have eaten more of those... look! There's the bag of M&Ms again!"
