I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT!

I was feeling challenged over a comment The Roomie made about my website. (No hard feelings or anything, Becky. I love my humble little hobo webpage, but I would like to make it more polished.) I came up with a pretty good new layout for the main page, which I'll upload later when the other pages are more finished...and then...

I LEARNED TO MAKE FRAMES! AND THEY WORK!!!!!

It's nuts that I should be so excited about this, but I totally am. Webmonkey is my friend. I finally nailed down tables--I already knew them but now I can make them completely by hand--and thought to myself, self, a friend of yours once said frames were easy after tables. Why not go learn them? So through a combination of webmonkey, viewing source code and trial and error, I made a successful frames page. Whoever once said it was right, it wasn't that hard once I figured out how everything fit together. Actually, the hardest part was dealing with the fifty (tiny exaggeration) open windows on my taskbar. I've tested it and it works now, and looks rather good if I do say so myself. I feel so incredibly accomplished now. It doesn't matter how hard or easy it might be to someone else--there's just nothing about tackling something you don't know and teaching yourself to do it.

Anyways, I'm not going to go frame-crazy now, because they always annoy the hell out of me what I want to bookmark something inside of a website, but it's appropriate for my lj-icons page. It's right here, if anyone is interested.

Megan and I are being productive on the fic front, too. We worked out some of the kinks for the reviews and I think we're going to start very soon--as soon as she finishes the first mock-up and I finish reading the piece of ass first fic we're reviewing. Man, we're going to need 1101 to review to balance out the negativity after we finish with this crap.

I'm listening to DDR music, talking to Megan, watching the U.S. Open, and working on website thingies. It doesn't get better than this.

You called me Char Char Binks. You're a bitch, you know that? ~.^

BTW, I miss you. I'm having lots of fun, but I miss you. :::hugs:::

I know I am, hon. I miss you too. But I am enjoying Adult Swim. Unless you two have completely forgotten the time, I'm guessing you will be too.

Sigh. Hope you and Jen keep having tons of fun. I'm still insanely jealous.

Heh

Woo DDR ... although I scrolled down a few entries and now have the blessed 'butterfly' song in my head. Gah.

The kids next door have two DDR pads mounted on a platform for use with the Dreamcast. It's kinda frightening at times.

Frightening, but so addicting...I think it's a government conspiracy to turn us all into mindless little DDR-worshipping soldiers with no will of our own.

Or maybe not.

Butterfly is very cool, but Bumblebee might even be worse to get stuck in your head. Char still thwaps me if I send any of the lyrics to her because it means she'll have it in her brain for another day or so...

Tooooo addicting ... although up until recently I was admittedly more partial to Samba de Amigo .. hehe.

Anywho, I shall venture next door later and attempt to get Bumblebee stuck in my head so i can yell at you about it later. :)
