effervescible | Back at school for real

I've been here since Tuesday, but today is the last move-in day for everyone else. It's so wonderful to see my friends and meet new ones! Already, our anime door has attracted some visitors. I'm excited about this year. Really, in my mind it began last night when Eric and I went to see Jay & Silent Bob Etc. We didn't manage to persuade Merry to go with us (i.e. she escape my grasp before I dragged her all the way to the car), but it was still great. On the way home, when we were blasting Dance Dance Revolution with the windows down so all the world could know we were alive and back, I felt that fierce joy that comes from grabbing hold of life with your friends by your side. I'm here, I'm happy, and I'm going to make this an experience to remember.
