Huh. Didn't expect that.

The thrill-ride thread on Something Awful had a link to Cedar Point's blog, which I didn't know existed. I moved from Ohio in 2005 and aside from some anxious times in that first year, I haven't really wanted to move back.

God, I'm so homesick now.

I'm sorry, I know what that's like. I'm here at Ohio State (ironically and just went to Cedar Point for the first time fairly recently) going to school when I'm originally form New York. Homesick strikes when you least expect it, especially if you don't think you will be.

I'll send lots of ♥ your way =)

I think I need to make a road trip out to the park when it opens this year. It's been a while.

I just moved from Ohio last fall...so this is the first year. It's hard and lonely and I so homesick (especially since my winter break had been amazing), but strangely I never thought to move back. Because the logical part of me still know that I needed to leave and I won't be happy there if I'm staying for the long term.

Where did you move to? This feeling's very odd, because it's not my house or my family I'm homesick for. I still see them often enough. It's the amusement park.

Sometimes I think it'd be fun to be a big fish in a small pond knowing all that I know now, but then I remember to do that I'd have to, you know, move back to Ohio, and the urge goes away.

It probably wouldn't work anyway—ponds tend to select their own big fishes, regardless of where the fishes have been. You should stick to continuing to be a fabulous fish of whatever size, wherever you are. :)
