Retro Chrono Trigger
Just played (again) what's probably my favorite scene in the whole game--the part where Glen (not Frog, GLEN!) gets the Masamune and carves a big ol' hole in the mountain. The new anime sequence was quite cool! Every time they show Crono's face directly I have Dragon Ball Z flashbacks and start getting hives, but other than that I'm okay. The music is just so cool--so heroic, and it just gets my blood pumping.
I'm quickly becoming re-captivated with Glen, to the point that he's starting to speak inside my head. He's definitely my favorite CT character. I really might have to do a fic one of these days. Think about it; he swears to avenge his dead best friend by killing Magus...and later has to travel around with him and work with him to save the world. And not because the guy has had a change of heart, either; as a player, I kind of like the fact that Magus doesn't pull a Spike and go soppy but remains fairly me-centric and arrogant to the end, but think of the tension there must have been. There's a lot to delve into.
But not right now. Right now, I'm going to change out of my pajamas and shower. *shrugs* I've been up for a while, just didn't feel like getting dressed. Then I'm going to pick up my check, pay Jenna, Jennifer, and Minor for various Fest/morp costs. Then, I'm going to dive headfirst into MiR because I told Char that I actually would have time to write today and I don't want to look like a liar. And then...*drumroll* Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within! Probably. I need to call AMC or check their website to make sure Josh and I can get tickets. I want to go tonightm but I won't be destroyed if we don't get to. My "I'll believe this is related to Final Fantasy when I see it" attitude has kept me from getting really excited about it, but it'll keep me from feeling a huge letdown if the movie doesn't measure up. I hope it feels like Final Fantasy...I believe that it can. I just haven't seen anything to make me really believe it's anything other than a sci-fi movie with a vaguely fantastic bent. I freely acknowledge that I haven't been looking really hard for movie info, either, so we'll see. I'm going in with an open mind. And hey, movie popcorn. Yum.
Until I get the urge to babble randomly some more...
