Yeah, definitely have had that happen before. I went to bed, woke up and thought, "Wow, it's still dark," then discovered I slept 14 hours and I was three minutes away from being extremely late for work.

"My, my" mused Beachlass this morning, as the phone rang and woke her up "It's awfully bright in my bedroom."

"I didn't wake you up?" inquired Beachlass' mom on the other end of the phone.

"Uh, yeah" responded a befuddled Lass, "What time is it?"

"9:30" her mom responded, in a cheery-been-up-for-hours voice.

"Damnit" muttered Beachlass, "I'm supposed to be at work at 9:30"

Her mother responded helpfully "In that case, it's actually only 9:27"

I've got myself two alarms, one at each end of my itty bitty Navy standard rack. They're so small, that if the alarm (either one) startles me, I'll smack my forehead on the top of the metal frame, and have to work with a headache all day (but I'll be awake!).
