So, um, how much of a dork does it make me that, upon uploading the final chapter to the longest fic I've ever written and clicking the status over to "complete," I feel a little like bawling?

You've obviously got a more artistic soul than I have. By the time I've finished a long fic, my deepest feeling is one of profound relief to see it kicked out of the door, and that it didn't turn into yet another abandoned WIP to haunt me from my hard drive!

XD I think the fact that the fic has been largely done for months helped--aside from a few scenes that need a serious rewrite, most of the rest was just cleanup. So I can let go gracefully instead of punting it out in a fit of pique.
