1. The first character I first fell in love with Vash, because I just love dorky shonen action heroes. Dorklove FTW.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now Knives, mainly because...we didn't see him for such a long time, how could I know? Admittedly, part of what I love about him is affected by fanon.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t Elendira. BFD.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates Well, plenty of people don't hate her, but Meryl. Sure, she can be shrill and make stupid decisions despite her considerable intellect, but BOY can I relate to some of her emotional issues.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer Mmm, none really, though fanon perception of Legato annoys the crap out of me sometimes.
6. The character I would shag anytime Wolfwood. Oh HELLS yes.
7. The character I’d want to be like Milly and Rem, in some ways...let's not take it to extremes, but I like how they can just believe what they believe and have peace with that no matter what others think.
8. The character I’d slap Well, kinda Rem, still. ;) It's not entirely her fault, but she did sort of give Vash a complex. Maybe he wasn't scheduled to learn about shades of gray for another month.
9. A pairing that I love Vash/Meryl, obviously, though I can appreciate Wolfwood/Vash more as time has passed. And Wolfwood/Meryl, though it exists only in fanon, because I think if they stripped the bullshit away, these two would have a lot in common. To this day I would really enjoy seeing fic with them at least interacting as friends. Snarky friends.
10. A pairing that I despise Vash/Milly, because while it is not impossible to do, most ways it can be done ignore a lot of crucial character bits for both her and Vash.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now Sokka. He seemed just like a generic funny guy at first, but he quickly gained much more depth and became a heart of the show while still remaining damn funny.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t Aang. I mean...I like Aang! I do. But I love other characters more, and it seems like a lot of people love Aang more than I do.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates Mai. WTF SHE IS SO AWESOME HOW CAN PEOPLE HATE HER.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer MY LOVE NEVER FADES!
6. The character I would shag anytime Sokka. No wait, Iroh! Sokkiroh.
7. The character I’d want to be like Azula. NO, DON'T RUN AWAY! Only in the sense of her singleminded sense of purpose. When she wants to get something done, she GETS IT DONE.
8. The character I’d slap Zuko, many times over, but again, it would be a slap of love.
9. A pairing that I love Sokka/Suki. I just. Yes.
10. A pairing that I despise Katara/Aang. It's not so much the PAIRING I despise, more like I despise the potential "I have found my true love at age 12" angle. Hopefully they will not use that angle even if the pairing does end up canon.

2. Sokka totally grew on me, and not like moss, either. More like those crystal things that Bumi tried to trap Katara and Sokka in.
3. I agree with you. Aang and Zuko have their nice parallelism, but ZOMG TOPH.
4. Hmmm. Mai (and I hate that it's pronounced like Mei even though it's Mai SDFJKL WHUT) has great potential to be awesome. For the Zutara fandom, Mai is definitely an UGLI, but I honestly don't see her that way. For me, I don't love Jet the way the fandom seems to. Like, at all, really.

9. I actually do like Sokka/Suki. I also could see Toph/Sokka happening; she seems awfully fond of him, in her own way. Of course, I could also see Aang together with Toph, so there you are.
10. I actually don't like that angle at all, especially since that seems to be the predominant angle the fandom takes. It kind of sucks and reveals just how young/rabid the fandom really is.

1. The first character I first fell in love with Rukia. I came in on the second or third episode at anime club, and I remember thinking "I'm not 100% sure of what's going on, but this chick seems cool." And she was.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now Chad. He flies under the radar, so it is easy to miss his concentrated awesomeness.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t Noitora. He's evil enough to make the smackdown fun, sure, but I just...want him to get killed and go away.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates I don't super-love her, but there are cool aspects to Hinamori aside from being crazy. It's just that she's so VERY VERY crazy right now.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer Zael, because he is creepily cool but refuses to GO AWAY.
6. The character I would shag anytime Renji. Hot DAMN.
7. The character I’d want to be like Ukitake. Loev teh Daddy Captain.
8. The character I’d slap I have to pick ONE? At the moment, Orihime, because I know she is capable of being way awesome. But it'd be like kicking a puppy. (SHUT UP SCATH, THAT'S DIFFERENT.)
9. A pairing that I love Ichigo/Rukia. Partner kink, baybee.
10. A pairing that I despise Ichigo/Orihime. Maybe someday it'll start to make some fucking sense and I'll feel differently.

10. A pairing that I despise Ed/Roy. I don't care how hot people think it is, it just doesn't make sense to me. Though despise might be too strong a word.
