1. When (as in at what point in the series) did you fall in love with Avatar?
SPOILERZ. When Zuko and Iroh wordlessly cut off their topknots at the beginning of season 2. I LIKED it a lot before that, but I feel in love with it then--it was just such a rich moment, and not overdone. Yep, I'm a sucker for the emo teen, what of it?

2. Name 3 places you want to go on vacation.
Japan, California (again) and England.

Beautifully evocative instrumental piece. I think of this sort of as the theme for Undertow, partially because hakuren sent it to me after I wrote the fic for her, and also because the tone of it just feels right.

4. What's your favorite episode/chapter/part of Bleach?
Damn, let's not ask difficult questions or anything. I don't think I can really choose just one, but I tend to re-read the rescue at the execution scene and the Ichigo vs. Byakuya fight more than anything else, the former for obvious reasons and the latter because it's just such a rich, layered fight with so many emotional and cool fight-o elements.

5. Describe your perfect weekend.
Lounging on a cruise ship with friends as cabana boys attend to our every need.

Huh. We fell in love at the same time. I loved the chopping of the topknots. It was such a...resounding moment, and it wasn't overdone or overwrought or anything. It simply was, and the fact that the moment was allowed to speak for itself was frighteningly appealing.

Are you excited about the S3 premiere? It's in a month!

Y.Y Unless it's all really a sekrit undercover plot, which I kinda doubt, in which case he's smart but also a jerk for being so mean to Iroh. I'd be unhappier if I thought there was the slightest chance he'd stay on Team Evil.

Haha. Absolutely. I remember thinking, "No way they'd scrap a season of character development just to fit with the archetypal form." That's just bad storytelling.

In a way, it might even be better for him--if he gets to make the decision to break away completely on his own, not just going along with Iroh's encouragement. I'm just worried Iroh might not survive.

I have a feeling that Iroh can make it through anything. I mean, this is a guy whose power is underestimated even by those who know him - Azula, Ozai, even Zuko. Plus, I mean, Iroh's gotta teach Aang, right? He's been shown to be a phenomenal, patient teacher even with the most stubborn of asses (Zuko) that it pretty much has to be foreshadowing at this point. Not to mention that he and Katara could probably have lengthy discussion about Tea.

Is it strange that my little dream is to see Katara using Firebending moves with her Waterbending? I mean, I could totally see her using Firebending style and shooting a lot of ice at people.

Also, Aang's new 'do is a definite don't.

I sure hope so. But it would be thematically appropriate for Zuko to be forced to stand on his own, though totally mean considering the loss of Mako...gah! Do not want! Want healthy happy Iroh!

No, that'd be totally awesome. And he does look a bit like a chia pet, but eh, you do what you have to for disguises.

It would be, but I'd rather have that be because Iroh isn't physically there to push him to do the right thing (because he's with the Gaang) than because of outrage that Azula dared to off their highly-respected uncle.

Chia pet! Yes.

I just had the sudden image of Ichigo dying his hair black for something involving a disguise (details are unnecessary) and just the idea of everyone across SS just flipping a shit would be...funny but tragic, I guess? It would be interesting, though; Ichigo only knows of Kaien as "that person" and not as Shiba Kaien himself. So, since their resemblance is ridiculously strong, if he dyed his hair black he'd pass for the spitting image of the guy.
