Departures "It's a long walk to the train station." Post-war futurefic. Rukia's been exiled; both she and Ichigo have a lot to learn. Part of the 12 Days of Torture challenge from ichi_ruki but this one's long enough it gets its own story.

Drive-by to say: SORRY. Fucked up real life stuff has had my attention / I've been avoiding most of the things I usually love, including the internet. But it's mostly sorted, or anyway on its way to being sorted -- will tell you about it in detail soon(ish). And I'm really, really sorry. But I did have a look at ch 6 the other day and I don't think it needs as much work as the earlier chapters, so it should be a fast once I get properly rolling and even faster for you to edit.
