I haven't watched tonight's ep yet bcs my husband and I have a pact that we must watch together. (Tell no one I told you that!) But I have to admit that I totally love Christopher and have wanted them together forever. >_> Yes, I know. I'm a 'tard. BUT! He was so sexy when he asked that astrophysics questions last week. And and and *paws at keyboard* they were childhood sweethearts! I'm genetically programmed to root for them, I think.
I like them, too. They seem to have more natural good times and more romance than she ever had with Luke. But, haters take heart: If a character on TV shows the audience her wedding dress before the ceremony or if the wedding takes place off camera, it can never last. Them's the rules.
Hooray! I'm glad to find a kindred spirit. I do understand that the show has essentially worked toward getting Luke and Lorelai together for six+ seasons, but I've always felt the chemistry with Chris and "Lor." I have a feeling this season is going to break my heart just a little.
I really liked them in this ep, and I don't exactly disagree, but Chris has too much of a history of fucking up for me to trust him. If he'd said, okay, let's fly home to Rory and get married with her there, I'd cut him a lot of slack. I know Paris is romantic, but geez! They shouldn't have done it without her.
THAT's what bothered me. It seems so OOC for Lorelai to get married without Rory. Dude, if I was Rory, I'd be PISSED and HURT.
I seriously thought he'd fly Rory to Paris, too. :( I'm sad he didn't.
In fact, I'm sad about Rory and Lorelai altogether. This new writer has two seperate story-arcs (one for Rory one for Lorelai) going on that have nothing to do with each other. Why isn't Rory talking about her fears with her mother? Why is Loralei getting married without her daughter?
It's like, a show about two people who happen to run into each other once in a while. Fuck that.
*nods* Although thank all the stars above we didn't have to deal FOR ONCE with Lorelai AGONIZING about getting married. I'm really really really sick of that.
You can already tell she's agonizing! She's having her typical commitment issues, which has already happened like 54643 times before, except this time it's post-marriage. I guess the writers thought that was different enough XD

Goddamn I hate Chris. Not to mention Lorelai's retarded alien stand-in that has dominated the past few seasons.
