I swear, some people are just so rude
Stupid fanfiction.net reviewers. Gah. I was feeling feisty the other night and Char was there to encourage me, so I posted Bed of Nails to fanfiction.net. I was looking forward to getting my ass singed by all the rabid Usa/Mamo shippers. I even put "flame on!" in the author's notes, for pete's sake! I wanted flames! But could those people comply? Nooooooo. I keep getting positive feedback! Normally that's not something I mind, especially when I feel pretty good about this particular piece, but dammit, I can't help but enjoy baiting some of these people. *snort* Maybe posting to moonromance.com will yield better results. At least it makes for a semi-amusing story. Char thinks I should continue it, but since Char wants Seiya to really be a youma intent on stealing young girls' Pure Orgasms, I am less inclined to take her seriously.
Grossness this morning--I went to flush the toilet and it started to back up, then overflowed when I plunged it. Blecch. At least there wasn't anything gross actually in the bowl at the time. Still...ickness. Extreme ickness. Good thing the floor isn't carpet.
Went to the health center to work out for the first time--it was very cool, better than I expected. Instead of being overwhelmed by random machines, like I was so often at the rec center at school, the people in charge actually have a structured workout plan for me, complete with blood pressure and pulse checks after each station. It's nice. I'd like to have more emphasis on abs, but they'll add weight-lifting later and I can always do crunches and stuff from that Cosmo article at home. I'm feeling buff! This is one of those times when working at Dairy Queen is less convenient, but I'll just bring an apple or grapes to work and be less tempted by the ice cream. God, I hope I can wear shorts today. The weather is up around ninety and the doors & drive-through window open enough that our a/c is less effective. Today the shift is 3-close, tomorrow...11-9. Lord give me strength.
Fatal Exposure and Full Circle by Meara are really, really good. The "weep at my suckitude, give up writing forever" kind of good. I hope she continues in this series.
