Ichigo's fire is doused in front of her eyes; Rukia wants to go to him so much that it is a heart-hurt, a soul-hurt, and tell him anything, that Soul Society would not do this, that her people are better than this, but then Renji sets a heavy hand on her shoulder and she has to step to the door, utter the only words she has time for and hope they'll carry the weight: I'm sorry.

Ten would say "Faulkner" now. I do long sentences.

I live in ongoing low-level terror that he'll suddenly whip around and be all MWAHAHA FOOLS YOU ALL THOUGHT I WAS A GOOD GUY a la Spoiler, even though that could never happen because he's him and also it would be dumb, but still noooooooo. Or that he'll die. Offscreen.

Brave little toaster is the perfect way to describe him. (Also I lived for that movie when I was like seven.) Brave little Hanatarou! Going off to fight injustice in your own fatalistic way, even though you don't really believe in yourself, because you'd rather be cannon fodder to help your friends than outlive them! Oww my heart.

Um... I hope you don't mind me popping into your LJ unannounced... I've always loved your Trigun fic and Elusive Mayfly archive and when I saw a link to your LJ from the Ichi_Ruki archive, I couldn't resist!

So... how about... a Trigun/Bleach X-over, with Ichigo and Vash discovering or discussing how the short, petite brunettes in their life really are worth the trouble they bring about? ;)
