arafel's last night for the (hopefully) penultimate cosplay session for shinigami!Rukia. We're thinking I might try sundress!Rukia next since I want a simple project and I already have the wig, but that'll have to wait until we finish this one--and I have to say, it's looking pretty awesome. The kimonos are virtually done--I'll post the in-progress pic she took of me with them on once I get it. Dudes, this actually making your own cosplay thing is super addicting. I can only imagine how much worse it is when you have the skills to do it all on your own instead of as an apprentice. Either Katsu will be fun. And CHEAP! The two most important requirements for a con imho.
Tomorrow afternoon I'm setting out to Philadelphia to hang withwreakerofhavoc on her grad school visit. There will be anime, mockery, and quite possibly corsets. SO SCARY. I've only been there once, to visit irenak, and I've never driven there, so wish me luck. It can't be as bad as Manhattan, right? I just hope that my paranoia about the parking garage filling up does not come to pass, because AAA maps doesn't have a "frantic bitches" backup route.
Am feeling rather chipper today. I think it's due to listening to waaaaay too much hyper music on the commute this morning. The upside is that it puts me in a good mood. The downside is that it makes me think my car can fly.
