The Weekend of Pants
This weekend I made PANTS. Hakama. Whatever, they're pants. For most of the weekend, the highlights were lounging at B&N for three hours and using my new electric pump on my tires, but then I went to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
arafel's place on Sunday and Team Haxx0r made excellent progress. Turns out all those hours of mechanical drawing in Design 104 really made a difference. Gosh, it's so nice to be using my degree. arafel is an excellent teaching and very patient with me as I learn this whole sewing thing, especially when I commit dumbassery such as leaving my Whacky Stick and power cord at home. Dear self, please remember your shit from now on. It's not like I need any help looking like a moron, I can do that on my own.
But hey, pants. Not entirely done, but you can kind of tell what they're supposed to be. I sewed the crotch together! Woo!
Last nightfadingembers and I watched Bleach 64 (HEAD AWAY FROM THE LIGHT, ORIHIME) and 9-11 of Gankutsuou. I do so love Gankutsuou, and Albert is so in love with the Count. I admit, I'm rooting for evil to win, but I am glad Mr. Football Player has a shot at happiness. Afterwards I met a prospective roommate for the empty room. She doesn't seem crazy and if she moves in, utilities will be split in three instead of two, and that's all I really care about. Then I went to bed early because I was a tired monkey. I got 8 hours of sleep for once so I woke up fine but now...I am crashing a little. Must be a sugar crash from having Lucky Charms for breakfast. But they're magically delicious dammit!
