How do they rise?

The People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road had the Glorious Revolution of the 25th of May, in which Keel's Lilac Lads fought for Freedom, Truth, Justice, Reasonably Priced Love, and a Hard Boiled Egg. (Also, they fought to avoid dying, and because it seemed the right thing to do at the time.)

All the little angels rise up, rise up,
all the little angels rise up high!
How do they rise up, rise up, rise up,
How do they rise up, rise up high?

They rise heads up, heads up, heads up, they rise heads up, heads up high!

All the little angels rise up, rise up,
All the little angels rise up high!
How do they rise up, rise up, rise up,
How do they rise up, rise up high?

They rise knees up, knees up, knees up, they rise knees up, knees up high!

All the little angels rise up, rise up,
All the little angels rise up high!
How do they rise up, rise up, rise up,
How do they rise up, rise up high?

They rise feet up, feet up, feet up, they rise feet up, feet up high!

All the little angels rise up, rise up,
All the little angels rise up high!

Small Gods is one of the stand alones (though there are references to Omnianism throughout the books) so you could really start anywhere. My favorite books are the Watch books, so if you want to try those go with Guards! Guards!, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay, Jingo, The Fifth Elephant, and Night Watch. Night Watch is absolutely my favorite Discworld novel and mostly focuses just on one character, so technically you don't need all the background, but the depth of exploration of Sam Vimes' character is more gratifying if you've read the other Watch books. Plus they rule!

:sigh: That book was so good... and so sad. I'm really going to have to re-read it at some point.
