We've got movie sign!
Hooooooooboy. Just got back from a marathon at the Black Hole (Justin, Seth, and Fossa's apartment) of MST3K. Wow. Many hours of Mike/Joel and the bots can seriously screw with your head. Twas much fun, though. We began with "The Brain That Wouldn't Die," continued with "Manos: The Hand of Fate" (Manos=Hands in Spanish...HAHAHAHAHA...oh wait that's not really funny) which has NO PLOT whatsoever. Seriously. We kept marking time. "30 minutes into the movie and no plot yet...halfway into the movie and no plot yet...3/4 done...credits rolling...no plot yet." We did a MSTing contest of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" which I honestly still can't say what it's about. Joe and Jeff tied for the contest because they basically just stuck it out the whole time. I did, too, but I was in the corner and JudgeJeff couldn't really see me and I think he only had two prizes. ;) We capped the night off with "Sants Claus Conquers the Martians." ....
Okay, that movie is SO WRONG on SO MANY LEVELS. Being up at 2 after an early morning doesn't help, but I feel like I just got off a really long, really weird drug trip. That movie...nothing can describe it. Everyone should see it, but only with MST3K. Anything else is too painful. It certainly doesn't inspire Christmas spirit. I think I want to be Jewish now.
Mostly kidding...
Tomorrow's the door-judging for the contest in out dorm. Lisa's excited about it, and I think it'll be cool if we win (we might, we have a shot...Caribbean Santa is definitely unique) but it'd be a lot cooler if she had actually let me do something other than dot the sand grains on. I know she didn't mean any harm, but running off to make ALL the decorations with two of her friends is NOT the way to bond with your roommate. *I* live here, not them. I'd probably be really pissed if I cared to devote enough energy to it. Come to think of it, the candy she gave me for "roommate appreciation day" (I still don't remember hearing about it) might have been a way of making up for it, but then I don't think she's that alert. Oh well. Ho hum.
I hope I can get up the motivation to go to the library this weekend. I really need to, but it'll be a task sifting through articles for my Shakespeare paper. It'd probably be easier to search for support for a long paper than what we're doing (5-7 pages, only one source minimum). Getting some fic done would be nice, too. Keeping my fingers crossed...
