Fanficton Do you read or write fanfiction? Heck yeah. Though, these days, I engage in mets discussion more than reading or writing. When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction? Started writing before I knew what it was. 6th grade, eleven years old, Sonic the Hedgehog. Hee! Started reading online when I was 15/almost 16. What was your first fandom? X-Files. It taught me so much, not the least being the ins and outs of flame wars. We were GOOD at those. First ship? Mulder/Scully. What website do you use most? Fanfiction.net, sadly. It's unfortunately the best place to find new fics for my main fandom, even if most of them are crappy. What do you think of Fanfiction.net? It's got tons of crap, but I think people are too hard on it. I've also read quite a few highly enjoyable stories there, and the review system is efficient and good for the lazy people who might not feedback otherwise. What fandoms have you written in? Trigun, X-Files, Sailor Moon, Buffy/Angel, Final Fantasy VIII. Pairings? Dude, don't. We'll be here all day. Any fandoms you would like to write in? Inuyasha, Suikoden III, maybe Samurai Champloo and Bleach. Do reviews affect how you write in any way? If they're intelligently written with thoughtful critique, sure. Do you use a beta? Ayup. What ratings do you read/write? All. Oh yes. What warnings have you used on your fiction/read? This is a stupid question. Warnings for sex? Is that the right answer? I haven't written anything violent enough to bother with. Do you have any squicks? Incest. I don't think people are sick freaks for reading it but neither am I a prude for disliking it. Degrading sex is another no-no. And while I have no problem with BDSM, most fics that include it are usually about the author wanting to showcase their kink and not so much about the characters, so I just end up snickering. Do you Role-play online? If so, what? Nah. Tried once. It was a poorly-managed board full of Mary Sues and Evil Joe . Have you ever stolen something from another person's work? Pfft. No. I've been inspired. Favorite fandom to write/read? Currently, Trigun, but I like to branch out. Favorite pairing? Vash/Meryl. Favorite writer/writers? Oh dude, so many. A good chunk of my flist for starters. How long should a chapter be? As long as it should be. Do you write/read drabbles? Ayup. Any fandoms you avoid? Harry Potter. Fucking loons. Pairings you avoid? Knives/Vash. Warnings you avoid? "Author: Millyfan" Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is? Hahahahahaha no. What do you think of Mary Sues? Meh. Dumb, fun to giggle at, but the sheer vitriol some people feel for them makes me think they should really get a life. Have you ever flamed someone? Hmm...I don't think so. Best fandom to cut your teeth on. But I'm glad I escaped. Not that Inuyasha is much better, but there are far less people for me to put on my blacklist (and by blacklist, I mean be nice to, but never, ever associate with... karma is such a bitch).
