Domestic woes

So...apparently I put in too much dish soap or the wrong type or sth, and some bubbles ended up on the carpet.  Cleaned those up, no big deal.  Only...there's still a certain amount of water in the washer that doesn't appear to be draining, and it's still there after a second dry cycle.  Any suggestions?

I knew I shouldn't have retired as a plumber!
