Exactly. I was going to get Disgaea, but couldn't handle the whole hardcore RPG numbers-based thing. Is it any good? Apparently the hero wisecracks and is the funny.

I'm enjoying it so far, though adjusting to a tactics-based rpg does have a learning curve. Game is extremely cute and fun with the characters.

It'll be a long time before you can do much with the Senate. You need to beat the challenge a bunch of times to raise your rank, and then you need to buy a bunch of cheap shit like gum, and repeatedly bribe the hostile senators with it. Then they'll start to vote your way.
