I have great sympathy for the women who are confronted with this choice when it goes so strongly against their beliefs. I don't have as much sympathy for the same women who continue to protest abortion after the fact.
I do agree with you here; I think it's disengenous. If you really believed in being against abortion, you would face the responsibility that comes with being pregnant. If nothing else, it's a stronger message you will have for your cause that you're having the baby. People that have the abortion and go back to protesting abortions are simply cowardly individuals.
Bah....I don't like abortion, but I like the idea of making it illegal even less. I'm not surprised by these stories, but saddened by them; it seems that for ever woman who came to an understanding through experience, there were 10 who did not.
The two biggest problems I have are that people who are all about protecting the unborn child care nothing for that child after it is born, and that often those who are so stalwartly anti-abortion are also stalwartly anti-other birth control methods. I think, if one really wants to end abortion, they should put their efforts towards making it obsolete--birth control, sex education, etc--rather than attacking after a pregnancy has begun.

Mom remembers nursing before Roe v. Wade. I remember the world before Roe v. Wade.
And Mom never liked anyone who decided what was right or wrong for anyone besides themselves.

That's my two cents.
