Ahhh weekend update part one

Chasing Amy is a really damn good movie. Joey Lauren Adams really impressed me; girl can act! She must've taken a break from acting to film Big Daddy. Everyone else was great, too. The ending was satisfying in the overall scheme of things--life lessons and all that--but I admit my happy romantic heart wanted Holden and Alyssa to find a life together. But hey, who says they never do? Anyways, very good movie. It's also nice that two guys and two girls (Val, me, Steve, Eric, and briefly Sarah) can watch a movie that includes detailed descriptions of sex and not be embarrassed afterwards. Not that we should be, but my how we've grown since grade school.

Working on ye olde webpage...I could just upload the saved pages I've got to the new host, but I'd rather redesign the site, at least most of it. I get to be creative in different ways and actually practice html instead of cheating with netscape's suck-ass pagemaker.

Traveling back in time, we stopped at Wal-mart before watching the movie. I was going to buy printer ink, but Eric says I can get it for half the price at Staples so we'll go there tomorrow. I *really* wanted to buy a scanner while I was there, since there were a couple cheap ones and my checking account is currently fat, but in the grand financial scheme of things now is not the time. Besides, there's no guarantee of quality, and the one I want (and know is good) is cheaper, even if I have to wait a bit to get it.

The roommate is already home and asleep! Extreme rarity, I hardly ever see her during the weekend, especially not at night. Hope she doesn't mind my 9:00 AM wakeup call for X-Men. ;) Ahh, how I love cartoons. That reminds me, in a roundabout way, I need to get lotsa work done on Interlunium this weekend. Feeling very motivated & inspired lately, let's see if I can translate it. Besides, it's just about time.

Let me call you sweetheart, I'm in love with you...

that is absolutely bizarre. i just re-watched chasing amy last night, ending just before you posted that. what an odd coincidence -- we shoulda watched together! i agree that it is a wonderful movie...then again what kevin smith movie isn't wonderful? he's brilliant. we watched being john malkovich last night too...talk about a weird-ass movie...but very good as well. gotta love video spectrum's 5 movies for 5 days for $5 deal! : )
