Apparently you can sign up for the ancestry.com trial and get credit for completing the offer and then cancel before you get charged. Cool. Wish the site had been working when I signed up--I went for BMG music and apparently they don't allow you to cancel before your app is processed. o.O Oh well, at least I'll get CDs.

(I still don't have much worth trading, but along with gmail invites I can offer up icons, porny drabbles, and/or some burned anime, though you people probably already have everything I've got.)

If anyone (at least anyone I know) does this, let me know I have some names I wouldn't mind having looked up. I have no experience with the quality of their data and never trusted ('trustno1') their 2 week access offer.

I would love me some Ipod. However, my laptop is officially an archaic, stone-and-chisel piece of shit and will not support said Ipod. *throws axes at laptop*
