Click, don't click, whatever. I have gmail invitations if you're worried about spam, and terms of bribery could be discussed.

...has anyone you know who's done this gotten an iPod yet? You and at least four other people on my list have pimped this out.

I know, that's what I want to know...does it work?

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2004-10-06 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. [livejournal.com profile] aerie and [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess got theirs.

Will write pr0n for referrals!

Good luck! ;) I hope you get yours too.

Thanks! I figure if I get it--cool. If I don't--well, I wasn't about to run out and drop the cash anyway.

Cool. You'll get an email from me in a bit.

I'm confused, what is this exactly?

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2004-10-06 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay. The way it works--you sign up at the site and then go through their "survey" (which is basically just an opportunity to sign up for spam--just click no and you'll get through it) and then complete one offer from one of their partnership thingies. I'd advise going with ancestry.com. It has a free two-week trial and from what Val says, you can sign up to get credit for having completed an offer and still cancel at ancestry before you actually get charged. You're done--you just need five people to do the same using you as a referral and they send an ipod. I know of several people who've gotten theirs, so it does work, much to my surprise. I think they just count on people not cancelling their memberships in the partner programs or whatever and getting money that way.

Does that make sense?

How do you work in as a referral?

[identity profile] jaina.livejournal.com 2004-10-06 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Once you're logged in, if you click "refer my friends" at the top of a screen, it'll take you to a page where you can send your referral link to people through e-mail or just copy it and post wherever you want--like lj.

Ooh, a ha!
