Home at last

Otakon was teh fun. Much better than last year, as far as events went, and the company couldn't be beat (though Aly and Grey, we totally missed you!) Will have a full report later, but for now let me give a giant middle finger to the weather of Philadelphia. Due to a brief yet intense rainstorm and other storms circling the area, the line for the runway was so backed up that my flight went from "We're going to get there early!" to being about an hour late. Thus, I missed my connecting flight and had to spend the night in Detroit. Even with a discounted rate and a meal voucher, I still have to eat the &^$*&^%ing $60 room charge. Goddammit. What with cons and weddings coming so close together, I am not exactly swimming in cash at the moment, but what can you do? I did get a complimentary upgrade to a jacuzzi room, which was really nice and relaxed me for a nice sleep of, oh, maybe three and a half hours if I'm being generous. I had a nap immediately when I got home (then I fired ze missiles) and I feel more human now, though rather hungry, since breakfast was a donut at 5:30 this morning.

But hey. It's all worth it for fun with geeky otaku, right? Right.

The rain has been especially violent this year, for reasons yet to be determined. Flooding has been a fun fun fun experience all summer.

I'm wondering about the Toronto one...somehow I doubt I can go...it's soooo far away. -_- I hate living in the middle of Bum Fluff No Where...a.k.a. Saskatchewan. o.O
