I'm going to go write a biting and nonsensical review of one of your stories on ff.net now because I don't know of any other way to channel the pure shock and outrage I feel at the moment X(
p.s. I think Vash would have looked kind of cute with a mustache/goatee, but I doubt anything beats the hotness of his stubble.
Ah, you really should play Vagrant Story. The battle system is awesome once you get the hang of it and a good portion of it is actually above ground and away from rotting zombies (haha).
You haven't played Silent Hill either? If you ever do decide to try it out play the second one first. It has the best/most easy to follow story in my opinion, but all of them are great.
I really should try it again. I enjoyed what I played of it, but I don't think I quite had the hang of the battle system--the first actual boss kept kicking my ass and I know he shouldn't have. So pathetic!
Eh, I'll keep that in mind if I ever do, but I'd have to have the lights on, people sitting beside me on the couch, and a blazingly sunny day streaming in through the windows.
I own Xenogears, but I haven't played it yet. I might give it a try when I finish Suikoden III, which will be soon.
That first boss is kind of a toughie, but after you get past him you soon learn how to chain and then things get easier. I went through the same thing, tried it a couple of times and quit when I got frustrated. I guess the learning curve for it is just bigger than most RPGs.
Xenogears is an incredible game. I plug it as often as I can because it's my favorite game and I don't think it gets the level of recognition it deserves. The graphics aren't so good by today's standards and the voice acting is pretty bad, but the plot is incredible and I really don't think there are any other games that can compete with it in that aspect. Some people hate it (most of which quit before they've finished even half of it), but it seems like the majority of people love it. If you get a chance to play it and finish it I would really like to hear your opinion on the game.
