Apartmente: Act 2, Scene 18

[effervescible]

[VAL and JAINA approach the doors to the two apartments they may be renting as neighbors next year. JAINA chooses APARTMENT E-5 and knocks. The door opens.]

JAINA: Hi, we might be living here next year and we were wondering if we could look inside.

CRAZY WOMAN: [interrupting] You can't come in. You have to have advance notice.

JAINA: Um, they said we could just knock on doors and see if it was okay.

CRAZY WOMAN: [stares blankly] Well...I guess...come in then. [SHUTS door]

VAL: The hell?

JAINA: Uh...

CRAZY WOMAN: [opens door again] No, you'll have to come back another time, you can't come in.

JAINA: Yeah, we figured.

CRAZY LADY: [shuts door]

VAL: What was that about?

JAINA: I don't know. I'm not living there next year. Bitch vibes.

I'd say she was having sex, but she was fully dressed. Maybe she was about to have sex.
