The disappearance of badfic

For a while tonight I've been reading some of my lj posts from last year. I noticed that I posted a lot of links to bad fics and, interestingly, most of the links are now dead. I like to think that in some small way, I contributed to saving the internet from them after I subjected you all to the misery, of course.
