The catapault sucked. The catapault broke. We hastily redesigned a simpler model. Tonight I will be cutting pieces, tomorrow and Sunday we will be putting it together. Throwing performance is Monday. God help us.

(I actually feel sort of heroic for this last-ditch effort. Like the righteous underdogs in a war or something.)

Good luck with the revamping of the catapult. I had to make one in high school for Physics class, and it consisted of a railroad tie, a giant metal rod, a wooden basket, and a rusted old spring. It weighed a LOT, but it worked. Kinda. It shot a tennis ball across the parking lot, and that's all it needed. What are the specifics of your project? Does it have to shoot a certain object a predetermined distance?

we had to make a dry spaghetti bridge in hs physics...it broke right before the test but we fixed it, the glue dried, and we held two pounds, so it wasn't the worst and we got a's.
