Sigh. I had such hopes for this fic. Now...is a big suck fest. Has silly-ass plot devices. And there's the always-entertaining insta-redemption of Knives.

most of my summer was uninspired. it was horrible.

Actually, I meant a fic I was reading...should've clarified. *g*

But I so agree. I had quite a few creativity issues this summer myself. Apparently they've been passed on to the author of this dross I found, but still...no fun at all.

The other one is, more specifically, sequelfic, which I think can be really easy to mess up. It's easy to give into the temptation to "fix" the characters so they're how you want them to be, especially when the whole idea is that one of them is (unwillingly or not) searching for understanding or redemption.

But plot devices just suck no matter what you do.

it combined the characters I created for Kouseki with the SM characters. I did this to find out if people liked how I wrote, etc before I dove into the whole insomniac machine thing.
