I hate songfics. Why? Because they are bad. (Yes, yes, I know, generalizations are bad. So just assume I'm talking about 99% of the songfics I've read.) They are boring. They're mostly just an excuse for the author to say "Hey, I like this song!" To which I say "Hey, then include it as a suggested soundtrack or link to the lyrics and write a fic that will actually interest me!"

I'm harsh, true. When you've been reading fic as long as I have (and are close friends with the illustrious Fic Bitch), you get that way. Anyways. I keep coming across the damned things. And that wench sarcasticval keeps sending them to me for fun and amusement, so I can't seem to escape them.

I read one too many songfics this week. One involving Selphie breaking up with Irvine over the phone, upon which he damns her and then asks why they can't work it out. Go fig. And dear friends, I cracked.

And I wrote this.

Not for the kiddies. Not for people who haven't seen much of Trigun. *eyes Char* But I thought you lovelies might like to know when I finally slipped over the edge.

Ahh, writing Wrong!OnCrack!Fic is such fun...
