For the first time in a while, the words are actually flowing and I don't stop constantly to think "Duh...what I write next?" Not just Trigun fic, either. The satirical piece I finished for workshop yesterday went pretty well too, even if I was 25% dead when I wrote it. That's what rewrites are for. But you can't have them without first drafts, and I'm making progress for once. This is a good sign.
