...or does it seem wrong for the marketing people to market Baby Norbert as a cuddly baby dragon, considering how even baby dragons are in the actual HP books?

We're unlikely to find dragons like Norbert, and people will romanticize them in their own heads anyway. Pern dragons, anyone? Dragon Tales, anyone? or is that Dragon Tails?

There are many instances of cuddly wuddly dragons to pretend Norbert is.

What really disturbs me though is the marketing of SCABBERS -- because if you've read book 3...

Yeah...but I can't forget that in this universe, Norbert was a bad-tempered bastard, so perfectly normal for a baby dragon. It's just kind of disturbing to see little kids loving it. "HE'LL RIP YOUR THROAT OUT! RUN!"
