RIGHT. Directed more at the Harry/Murphy AT LONG LAST than the cliffhanger, though. And the huge changes (hur hur). I mean, yes, I very much want to know how he gets out of this but...DUDE, HARRY AND MURPHY WERE GONNA BANG.
Seriously. Honestly, I don't love the secret child thing. THAT IS SO OVERDONE. But if we had to have it, at least it was done in an entertaining fashion.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was Kincaid that took Harry out. They only foreshadow Harry getting shot by a sniper maybe four times in the book, so it wasn't a COMPLETE surprise.
All I want to say is this: Did you notice when Odin pulled Harry into his little corporate headquarters for a job interview? That may not be what Harry thought was going on, but that is exactly what happened.
Dollars to donuts that we find out in the next book that Harry was killed to free him from Winter's clutches only to be brought back by Gard as a returned Hero.
Just saying. She is a Valkyrie. Harry is most definitely a Hero. Odin sure seems to have a collection of dead Heroes hanging around waiting for a major event. They did mention like two times that the only way that Faerie Knight can be let go is by death, as it is a lifetime appointment. Odin knew that Harry would choose Mab as his patron, and the only practical way to free Harry was to have him killed, then brough back to life by one of his Valkyries. (Gard)
