Well, Whaddaya know

I worked until 7 instead of 9! Very cool, except tomorrow I do have to work until nine. -_- I also had a bunch of money from my paycheck left over from buying BNL tickets, so after work I headed out to Mediaplay and got me a haul. My goodies include a small cd holder for all my new computer disks, "The Cases That Haunt Us," a hardcover John Douglas novel I didn't know existed, the Sailormoon S Volume II DVD and...Final Fantasy Chronicles! Yes, I promised that I'd wait a while to get it and conserve money, but I couldn't resist. The sales clerk I asked about it was fun--we chatted a bit about what games we like. He may have been trying to flirt a little, but I am dense and cannot tell these things. I even already started playing Chrono Trigger, for the oh 20th time or so. Early press was right--the load times for the menu and battle scenes really are horrendous, but the anime is nice and besides, it's Chrono Trigger. I feel less worried about my SNES dying now.

Last night we got out very early--11:15ish. Customers were fairly steady but lighter than usual. Everyone's away for the holiday weekend, I guess. Tomorrow should be dead because everyone will be in Columbus or at their TVs watching Red, White & Boom. Or course, fate might decide to fuck with me and prove me wrong, so I suspect we'll be extremely slow or extremely busy. Last night was surely interesting--I was rounding the corner up to the front, three stacks of cones laid across my arms, when I slipped in a forgotten puddle of spilled mix (which I myself had spilled) and BAM went down. hit my entire left side hard, BOOM. If I had caught the point of my elbow, I swear I would be in a cast now. As it was, I was very stunned, though coherent enough to be thinking "Well, shit." Don, one of the lawyer owners, rushed over scared that I broke something. I really was okay, though sore and bruised today. I felt a little sick to my stomach but not much else. I heard Don telling Kelly about it on his cell phone later, and it was kinda fun. I felt loved. :)

Christine and I are going to the zoo and Mongolian Barbecue on Saturday! Sounds much fun. I need some friends time, I've been working so damn much this week. Between work and Seiya-chan, I haven't had any time for fic. Or for bitching about it. This will change soon, I vow.

Can't really think of anything else important at the moment.

Long live Manhammer Mamoru!
