Damn damn damn
Goodbye more moneys! Though nothiing close to the car bill. *shudders* Y'see...mostly I can control my buying habits as far as action figures and such go. (Or inaction figures, as most Japanese ones are.) But the Bleach figures...homan, I am boned as far as they go. They just look so COOL. The sculpting is nice, they pick good poses, and they're in scale to each other for the most part, so despite their blindbox status, I cannot resist.
(Yes, I know you can already buy Ichigo and Rukia domestically NOT blindboxed. But they're releasing the figures slowly, and I think out of order. If I remember correctly, Renji and Byakuya are coming this spring, and they're not even from the same series. I CAN'T WAIT.)
I thought I was okay. You see, I kinda...ran out of figures to get. I have all of series 1, and of series 2 and 3, I'm only missing figures that are virtual duplicates of each other--series 2 (or 3, I forget) Hitsugaya looks extremely similar to the first version, and I prefer the Swooshie Coat Bankai Ichigo I have to the More Restrained Coat Bankai Ichigo I don't have--or they're alternates of the same figure, like Aizen with nerd glasses instead of Aizen with hair gel. The bodies are the same. So while I don't have EVERY figure released, I had virtually all of them. And I was content.
But today I walked into Kinokuniya at lunch and saw a sight both great and terrible.
Bleach. Series. 4.
Sigh.
(In case you're wondering, I got Kira. Also in the set are ANOTHER Bankai Ichigo, Bankai Ichigo with 3/4 Hollow mask, Hisagi and Bankai Hitsugaya. Yes, I will be buying more. Don't judge me.)
P.S. If anyone wants dibs on any duplicates I get, post which ones you're interested in here.
