Keyboard help plz

So I totally doused my keyboard with milk after breakfast. I wiped it off and it didn't seem dead, but there's still kind of...milk down in the tray, in the keys. Is there a good, safe way to clean this (because ew, rancid milk is freaknasty) or should I just hit Circuit City at the mall over lunch?

Keyboards are fairly cheap these days (got my last one for about $10 at Office Max.) If you don't need anything too fancy, you might opt for a new one. Otherwise you can pop the keys off your current one and try to clean it out with Q-tips, if you really want to hang onto and it's still working fine. Either way, it's best not to share your breakfast with your keyboard. Feeding it "people" food can cause problems later on. ;)

i would say just spray it every now and then with some air freshener. :)

Dishwasher, top rack, allow to dry facedown for several hours in a warm spot.

Unfortunately, I don't have a dishwasher :/ Do you think it would still work okay if I rinsed it by hand and let it dry on the dish rack?

Yes, as long as you don't use too much water pressure.

I'm told a shower will work just as well. I doused my keyboard in grape juice about a month ago and had the same OMGwhaddoido reaction.

Thanks! I'll try that. I actually did go buy a new, fairly cheap keyboard at lunch because I'd been thinking it was time for a new one anyway, but if this works I can have a backup for when the next one craps out.

Once it dries, it's dead hon. Trust me on that one. it seems okay now, but later on there will be keys that get mixed up and everything becaus eof the circuit board under the keypad. You're actually suppose to open up the keyboard if you wanted to salvage it right after you spill and then clean it, but it might be too late.

Buy a new keyboard. I spill things once every six months on the keyboard so I know. ^^''

long and short ways... seeme to suggest pouring liquid on is a no-no...

Mine is supposed to be water resistant, but I kind of doubt it... it was cheap
