A tale of two weekends
I am forever behind in updating about my life. Last weekend--home for Easter, got to visit family and Becky and old bosses and it was nice and relaxing. ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sarcasticval and jesterspace, you're both at the top of my list for visiting next time I go home--I would've done so this time if I'd been home for longer. Um...I guess that's it. Not much to tell for Easter weekend, except that shopping with my mom = TOTALLY SPOILED ME and I chopped off a bunch of hair. It's much better this way.
This weekend--a surprisingly wonderful weekend, becauseirenak was in the area! It's been ages so of course we wanted to visit. She came by Saturday and we bought comics and had lunch and watched dorky musicals (anime and otherwise) and had an Adventure looking for a space heater, which we did not find. Cheap thermal blankets from Wal-Mart had to suffice. Yesterday, we went to Mitsuwa with arafel, fadingembers and her boy. Delicious food was had for lunch and we all bought WAY too much snacky stuff. Then again, is there such a thing? Over at the toy store and book store I bought chopsticks, a cheapx0r Renji and Byakuya poster and Bleach vol. 3 and 8. Me = NERD.
In the meantime, I wrote my ass off trying to finishsophiap's fic for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
bleach_exchange, and I succeeded, though I do want to have a beta tighten it up before I post it elsewhere. This week, I...get to do the exact same thing if I want to join in the ichi_ruki spring contest. I already have 7+ pages written and the rest of the scenes firmly in my head, so I might as well. I swear, this fandom is like taking speed for me. If you don't count the pr0n, I've already caught up to my Trigun fic output. I'm not sure if it's because Bleach has so MANY different great characters and relationships to play with whereas Trigun had fewer developed ones, or if it's writing for a fandom without any screeching harpies (well, ones that screech at me) that does it. Eh. Either way, I'm enjoying it. After the contest fic I'm thinking Orihime's "What I Did On My Summer Vacation" essay-fic, the sword pregnancy crackfic for Megan, and something with Ishida for Val, assuming I can think of a plot. Yay goals!
