wtf internets

Can anyone give me a reason why our wireless cable internet refuses to work whenever the landline rings?

I don't get it.

It wants to make sure you answer the phone?

My cable television goes out when my cell phone rings.

Maybe the landline interferes with the signal... do you have a 2mhz or higher cordless phone?

I agree with offscreen. Your wireless may be on a similar frequency to the phones.

If you have a cordless phone that uses the same frequency as the wireless internet (probably 2.4 GHz), that could be the cause of your internet problems...try to keep the cable box/router far away from the base or handset of the phone.
