I'm a manly cop and it's okay...
Y'know, there's something very fun in reading Monty Python filks about Doggett's Manly Manhood Manliness.
Okay, last night I got home from band, sat down to relax and check my e-mail, and BOOM. Blackout. Citywide. Um, pissed college students much? Not fun when you're working on a paper, or, in Joe's case, several. Oy vey. The Sundial couldn't serve either so we wandered up town to try and find some food and ended up buying already made food at Taco Bell. I'm sure they made a lot of money. The lights *finally* came on before Buffy (YAY!) immediately after Joe and Val and I had a milk-chugging with Oreos party so it wouldn't get spoiled (D'oh!).
Today I found out that the blackout was due to some feckwit who hit a pole which knocked out a box or something etc etc etc vibrations ended up knocking out 4 of 5 power sector box type thingies. Don't ask *me*, I'm not an electrician. Of course we'd all like to send this person some "fanmail."
But.
When the server got knocked offline during the blackout...IT KILLED THE NAPSTER BLOCK!!!!!! Val and I have been downloading like mad lest someone remember to put it back. I still love ethernet.
The moral of the story? Um...don't bitch at bad drivers, I guess.
