Millennium Actress. If you liked Perfect Blue, go see this. If you never saw Perfect Blue, go see this anyway. Without spoiling anything I'll just say that it's a lovely movie told in an engrossing way that never gets boring. The animation and cinematography are just great, too. I cried at the end, but it wasn't a bad cry. See. This. Movie.

If you liked Millenium Actress, you should see his latest: Tokyo Godfathers. Just like Milennium Actress was a little more humorous and cartoonish than Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers is a little more than Milennium Actress. I saw in St. Louis two weeks ago, and I think it's in limited release around the country.
